How lucky your family is to have you as its epistolarian (spell-check doesn’t recognize “epistolarian!”). But you seem to have come by your letter-writing naturally.
Happy anniversary to your parents. John and I celebrated our 53rd anniversary last October. Don’t have as many of our letters as I’d like.
We lost my Dad in late December and we are sifting through the artifacts of his life. I've found a box full of letters my parents wrote to one another before they were married. My parents celebrated 68 married years last June. My Mom misses him terribly (As we all do). Such a gift to have letters to stir those memories as we plan a celebration of his remarkable life. A few that I read are in need of redaction too ... a fact that I secretly love 💜
What an endearing account of your parents' love, shared with wisdom, humor and a wish that my next one will begin the same way! Though my parents don't have a trove of written letters, the story of their meeting and love remains the sweetest one I know.
What an incredible account of the beginning of love. Their story, though personal, sounds deeply universal. What a way to experience your parents' love than by reading it firsthand, in their "private" words.
Happy anniversary to my shipmate and his bride. How cool to look back and get a glimpse of their beginnings—redacted and all.

68 years! What an incredible love story and so great to have those letters! And yes, the redaction-less letters are special.

That's sweet. And here's to your next one beginning the same way!!

Thanks Karen! Will pass on your message...without redactions! :)
Happy belated 53rd anniversary! Not too late to start writing more letters! ;) Will have to add Epistolarian to my biz card!
